ok so a while back i changed my levers. i never brought this up because it never bothered me nor do i really care but I'm now curious (cold sunday in ny and sunday ticket kind of bored)

anyway i changed the levers on my 1199. now i can't start the bike in gear. it can only be started in neutral . everything else works fine. just curious if i can fix this myself or if this happened to anybody else?

ps yes i know the kickstand is up :D

You need to check your blade switch on the clutch. What levers? Mine had an adjustable actuator to resolve this issue and customize required pull.

I had to adjust my CRG carbon shorties so when the clutch is pulled in it would allow the bike to start. I think the bike thinks your bike is in gear and won't start it until you put it in neutral. Should be simple.

This is the problem, this is a stock photo of the blade switch. You need to ensure the clutch lever completely depresses it.
