I have always been a diehard Arai RX7 Corsair fan, but with my last one compromised (despite it keeping my head intact) I thought I might branch out a little.

The reviews for this lid were all quite positive, so I gave it a go. It is very light, the visibility is fantastic, and the fit is similar to that of Arai (as opposed to, say, Shoei).

My only complaint thus far is that it is a real ..... to put on and take off. The opening doesn't seem to stretch as wide as any other helmet I've ever worn. Hopefully this gets better over time... (anyone else have one of these and can speak to that?)

schuberth is king.

the entry and exit is still hard, but got better after a while. the tight opening is key for silence...

Phil, which model do you have? Do you know if their collar communication systems can be fitted to across models?

I have the S2. Needed the sun lid...

Don't know about the systems.

Sweet.

I'm pretty sure BMW Manhattan have them or at least they did when I was checking out a HP4

I, too, have a Schuberth SR1. And like the pics that Jello posted, I have the SR1 "technology." (The "technology" version is simply a different, more complex paint scheme Schuberth applies to the helmet)

It is an amazing helmet. Period.

It's light, offers great vision clarity, and great field of vision. It is reasonably quiet.

As Jello stated, the opening is a bit tight. It takes a bit of work to get this helmet on and off. But once it's on, you'll know it was worth the effort.

And as far as I know, this helmet is NOT compatible with any bluetooth-type communications device. There simply isn't enough room inside the thing to allow for it.

It is expensive, but if you're thinking about going this route, don't hesitate. As long as the shape is right, you can't go wrong with the SR1.

I rate this helmet very highly.... but my ears hate it...the on/off is painful....

the bluetooth neck roll is not compatible with the sr1 its for the other line forgot the name of it c2 or something

Mark, there is also a Bluetooth comms collar for the S2, which is a very similar helmet to the SR1...

i was at a stealership this weekend and they did not mention it you maybe right im just going on what they told me and what my buddy had.

here you go straight from schuberth website

With which helmets is the SRC-System™ compatible?
A: The SRC-System™ is currently compatible with the helmets S2, C3 Pro, C3 Lady, C3, C2 and Concept.

Ah, that's too bad. It makes the S2 (between its built-in sun-shade and SRC-compatibility) the more pragmatic option than the SR1...
