As promised here is the new thread for these states and the members who reside within them. It wont be this weekend, due to VIP attendance at the final AMA Race Event of the 2013 year at the New Jersey Motorsports Park! (Btw anyone going?)

As stated Captain CF and I will put our feeble minds together and come up with a few choices for a central location with ample parking and of course a restaurant or Starbucks to keep that hardcore tradition going. :D

Any members interested please reply if you are in, and what day of week would work best for you - not that this will be set in stone ok?
As Capt said, perhaps it could be set as a weekly or bi-weekly meet and if you can make it fine. I figure we have a couple more months left so lets try to make at least one or two of them ok folks? Wives, GF's and now that DOMA is National issue BF's are all welcome if you wish. :eek:

I'm in. I am available most weeknights unless something comes up. Last time we met in Arlington which seemed to be roughly equidistant for the folks we had coming at the time (one from DC, one from Alexandria, one from Springfield and one from Vienna). I used to hang with a monster group that had the same setup - one night a week in Arlington that was a standing meet up every week. Generally people would still post up to gauge who all was going to see if it was worth the ride, but once we get something on the books in a regular time slot it will be easy to plan around it if you want to make it.

Maybe at the first meet we can all kick around dates and times for rides too. Like I posted in the other thread, I like to ride out west (Plains, Middleburg, sometimes Skyline, etc.) most Sat and Sun mornings during riding season and always go solo so a couple buddies would be nice for a change.

A couple options for the first venue:

Starbucks at Virginia Square metro (where we met last time) - 901 North Nelson Street Arlington, VA 22203

Rhodeside Grill - 1836 Wilson Blvd Arlington, VA 22201

The iPhone 6 will be out before a group of more the 5 of us get together and it will probably be less disappointing
 
I am good for Tuesday and Thursday evenings or weekends. I wouldn't mind Rhodeside Grill. They have good food.
 
You guys are having this much trouble getting a tupperware party together ??? sheesh. .

why don't you sorry saps stop trying so hard getting 1199 riders together and just have a Ducati get together. . . I imagine it'll be 100x more interesting having various Ducati riders at a regular hangout, then the same lonely 1199 riders looking for company. .. .

im also on the enemy site (s1000rr) and met a bunch of guys that all ride together. funny thing is not one of them have a s1000rr let alone a hp4. good times just to get good people together.
doesnt hurt that these guys knew exactly where to go and hang out where the scenery was amazing for that day ;) i must say the pani gets the most attention

Yes but these guys keep trying to get the same 4 pani riders to get together. And they all seem to have different ideas on what they want to do. .. I'm not sure its going to command anyones attention after the first tupperware sale - for these guys to continue to go. .. But if you get 25 Ducati enthusiasts together and various numbers show up at the same place every week (or month or whatever), then you have different people, different conversations,etc - it makes things a lot more interesting.

So thats why I'm throwing it out there to be a bit more inclusive because its a helluva lot more interesting to talk to various Ducati owners than just the same pani owners who put on similar carbon bits, mirrors, etc, etc. . .
 
I'm heading up to NJMP tomorrow. Gunny, I'll have to run you down at the event. It would be to meet some other Ducati folks from the DC area.

WELL, when I rode last it was in Long Island NY 8 years ago on an R1. Had a great group I rode with ever weekend. Since moving from NY to 1st MD then WV (7 miles from MD, 5 miles from VA) I have no network. The 1199 is my first road bike in 7 years, SOOOOO I just thought I would hook up with like minded riders, trying to stay away from the T-shirt and shorts Wheelie crew lol. BUT I would love to hand out with any group of responsible, semi intelligent riders . And I just want to see Gunnys bike in person :D
 
lol..somebody needs to just throw out a date/time and whoever can me it will make it I guess. :)

I'm back in DC for a few days...

Anyone interested in meeting up later this week or early next week?

We can do coffee again at the same Starbucks at Virginia Square again or dinner at Rhodeside Grill works too.

Either this Thursday October 24 at 6pm or next Tuesday October 29 at 6pm? If enough people are interested, I'll post up a meetup thread.
