Hi all, just signed up after looking for some 1299 mirror options - so just saying Hi!

In Twickenham, London.

Just awaiting my 1299 FE to turn up in a couple of weeks hopefully.

Owned a 1098s for about 8 years from new, but sold it a couple of years back for more sensible commuters - been missing the HP though.

Love all bikes from classics to cruisers to sport bikes.

Currently have a Triumph Thruxton, 1973 Norton Commando (cafe racer) and Harley Breakout to complete the random mix of bikes!

Anyone have any good suggestions for mirrors btw? Those huge mirror stalks the only thing I don't like about the bike.

Welcome!!

I can't help on the mirrors. I didn't like mine at all (useless and also ugly) so I just removed them and replaced with the machined block offs. For how I use the bike, mirrors aren't that important anyway.

PLEASE, PLEASE be sure to post some pics of that FE asap ok? Even if you need to be there for the unboxing to it at the dealership too ! (I always loved being present for that!)
Anxious to see what that bike has on it out of the crate! Meanwhile, stay safe on those other two wheelers - for sure get a few shots of ALL of them together like a family!!! :)

Tried to post some pics but struggling to get them up. I tried the link from photo bucket on images but just came up with needs approval from moderators.. This was two days ago. Am I doing something wrong? thx

Hello, I'm around the corner in Richmond :) Is this Steve from the Silverstone trackday?!
 
I did the Ducati on track day at Silverstone a couple of weeks ago so maybe if that's what you mean! I've signed up for the California super bike school this Thursday / Friday too and taking the FE along! Can't be too many FEs that have had their first service yet!
 
Looks awesome mate. Its odd as the initial leaked pictures didn't do it much justice but nice the official unveiling the more I see of it the more I like it.
