Just thought I would say hi... New to the 2 cylinder world... I bought a new '12 1199 S ABS in June... 1100 miles later and when I walk out to my shop, I hop on the 1199 instead of anything else..... And 2 weeks ago my shop also consisted of '07 R1, '12 R1, and '12 ZX14R(gone now)... It's not near as comfortable, but rides so great and is faster than the rest haha... I have been drag racing bikes since 1999 but can push them plenty in the corners... :)

And I know what you mean. I normally get bored of riding the same bike after a year and start looking at next year models but there is something special about the 1199. A year and a half later I still can't wait to hop on it and take through the canyons or track. I'm like a kid on Christmas Day.

Very much agreed. Unlike with many of my previous bikes, my infatuation with the 1199 seems to correlatively increase with time of ownership. Devastatingly gorgeous and intoxicating on the road or track. As I've seen mentioned elsewhere, it's the bike I've waited my entire life to ride.
