New Ohlins Forks Or Cartridge Kit

Curious, what did you notice about the stock suspension and your weight? Front end dive? I'm about the same weight and am wondering how much better the bike could be with a new shock set-up. Also, had you already adjusted to stiffer settings on the stock suspension?

I went to a shop and had the stock suspension set up for my weight (205 without gear). I loved the stock Marzocchi forks. They're the best stock forks I've ever had on a bike. I only changed them because I didn't feel like waiting for them to inevitably fail. But the Sachs rear shock was just rock hard. No matter what adjustments I made on it, it didn't seem to make a difference. It was a jarring ride over bumps, and the bike was jumping all over the road. And the stock damper didn't do a damn thing. It had to go. With all the new Ohlins stuff the bike's ride is way more compliant and composed. Overall I think the rear shock made the biggest difference.

I bought the TTX for the rear, I (Ducati) have changed the Marzocchis 4 times, they have no rebound adjustment but seem to work, what I noticed the most coming out of the box is how light they are, so I imagine the best solution is the Ohlins cartridges inside the light forks, the only question can be does one like the look of the Ohlins over the Marzocchi more? I think that also there is an element of snobbery and to be fair a lot buy a Ducati for the looks
I also bought from the forum the nice Ohlins steering damper.
