new screen

My dealer tells me the taller DP screen gets nicked by the base of the mirrors when the mirrors are folded in.

Anyone got direct experience with this?

I fold my mirrors about as often as I use my kill switch, horn, and high beams. I suppose it would be fine with you if they caused some cosmetic damage whenever you used them.

I use the passenger pegs and seat even less frequently than I fold the mirrors. Maybe these should cause cosmetic damage when you install them. The mind reels with the opportunities Ducati has for making infrequently used parts which cause cosmetic damage when used.
 
I have the higher DP screen fitted.

Yes:
the screen offers more protection
the screen is lightly tented, though not enough to persuade me not to get it
the mirrors will hit the screen if you fold them in - but who does that?
the optical clarity is standard for DP, so not a good as Zero G
I will be ordering a Zero G replacement when available
 
I looked at ordering it as an extra, but after riding the demo the standard screen offers decent protection for me despite me being 6ft, So for the price ducati wanted for the replacement ive decided to wait untill A. i finally get my bike B. some other options come onto the market.
