Does anyone know what spring I can use on the OEM Sachs V2 shock? Ducati Omaha sells an Ohlins 21040 as an OEM Sach replacement spring, but it is not the correct size (I am returning what they shipped me).

V2 OEM Sachs Spring
I.D. 48.5mm
Length 178mm

Ohlins 21040 Spring
I.D. 51mm
Length 160mm

I found that some people used the 21040 Ohlins spring for the 899 and 959, but they had to fabricate a collar and spacer. I really don't want to purchase an entire shock for the V2 just yet, but it would be nice to get the spring correct for me.

Interesting.Their website specifically says its for the Sach shock and does not mention needing any other items to make it work.Have you called them to ask whats going on? Definetly misleading if it needs you to have a machine shop make parts for it to work.

I ran into the same problem when I went to replace the spring on my Streetfighter V4 with the Sachs. I ended up returning it and going with a Bitubo from SBU. I was never able to find the right p/n.

I'm sure Ducati Omaha will take care of it either way.

Update: Ducati Omaha did some research and confirmed the spring will not fit the V2 (without custom spacers/collars). They said Ohlins does not make a spring that will work for the V2 Sachs shock and had nothing to sell me. They sent a return label.

So I am still on the hunt for a spring since I don't want an entire shock (just yet). Sigh.

I just had the same problem with my Streetfighter V4 standard.

The Panigale V4 standard and Streetfighter V4 standard both have the same EXACT rear shock part number: 3652189A.

No notes, adapters, etc. The replacement spring stated to fit the SFV4 is far too short. Ducati Omaha claimed it wasn’t designed for the SF, only the Panigale. I asked them to specifically tell me the difference between two shocks with the SAME PART NUMBER and was told “must be something small”.

Pretty frustrating, but to their credit they tried to figure it out and provided a refund.

You might want to measure them before taking someone's money. Another poster was told by Ducati Omaha that Ohlins doesn't make a spring for the Sachs shock.

Correct, Ohlins won't fit. I had the same issue 2 years ago. Eventually changed the shock.
Maybe 'Eibach' can help you know. They make all kind of springs.
