New member here from Washington, DC. I picked up my 1199 Base ABS last weekend and have been having a blast ever since. It is my first Ducati and very different from other bikes I have owned, but I am starting to get the feel of it. My biggest challenge at the moment is that I have been riding with a GP (reversed) shift pattern for the past 5 years. So far, I have only shifted down when I meant to shift up a couple of times. 
The slipper clutch and EBC saved my bacon both times.
I have a long list of mods in the works (including a reversed shifter), but plan to start with wrapping the rear header pipe. Thanks for the pictures ducgrl!
