Hey Gunny!! I have a black / red carbon. Very light, (obviously), decent air flow, not too loud, looks awesome. Best thing is fit. Shoei medium is a bit large, small is way tight. Bell medium is way big, small a bit tight. The Nexx fits my noggin perfect!

My buddy paul has the new XR2 version- still junk.


CAVEAT: I'm still actually using my red/white carbon Xr1r because i love LOVE LOVE the massive field of view and how light it is. But the crash tests I've seen don't give these Nexx helmets great reviews.

Ask Mark his opinion. Grabbing popcorn.
 
I have a xr1r carbon. The helmet was great...at first. The field of view, weight and noise were all above average and it just fit well. After about 2.5 years it is soooo loud...packed out horribly...the visor mount point randomly come off and release my visor from the helmet. The top vent plastic actually came out of the mount point. I re-anchored it with 2 part epoxy. It was great, but it's time for a replacement.

Like he said LOVE the field of vision can't be compared plus it's super light! As with everything that's made to be light weight also means FRAGILE and BRITTLE!!! Went to tighten the base for the visor and the damn screw snaps off. Fortunate customer service is good, sent me replacement screws and fog inserts rather quickly. I don't regret getting it, $450 shipped NIB, but I wouldn't purchase another one though. Just ordered a Shoei RF 1200 as a replacement since the Nexx is almost 2 years old.
 
i got one, I like how light it is, not much wind noise.
Only issue is switching the visor, mine I have to use a flat head to take it apart
 
Yeah Whitey, I got the down and dirty story on it from Mark about how the entire thing cracked when dropped from knee height. Not cool. Was curious to hear about it from those who own one instead of the "friend of a friend of a guy I knew" type thing ya know.

Looks like it's not one for me despite its lightweight build. It's great to obtain good knowledge here on our forum!

Build quality is no where near Shoei or Arai. I wont be making that mistake again.

korrekt. smart man..... after some of my own funded consumer reportz as proverbial crash dummy i only wear Arai....
