I had the GPS and DDA installed and picked up the bike today. Cannot log into the website I was provided: www.prosa.com/dda Anyone have an update for me please? Getting ready to ride at Thunderhill, looking forward to it!
 
Here's an example of the cool stuff you can do with the software, this is a comparison of two laps. It gives you the ability to filter different channels of data to look at (speed, rpm, engine temp, throttle opening %, gear, DTC response, GPS altitude, GPS distance), and it can draw a track map from the GPS spatial information. You can view laps in sequence, or overlay two laps to compare, which is what I find the most valuable. In the example, I compared two laps that were 1.4 secs different. You can use the data to see exactly where the 1.4 secs were lost on the slower lap. This only works if you're consistent with lines, throttle application, braking, etc. otherwise the data will be all over the place.

Hey guys, I'd seen a topic on it previously but can't find it. I'd just like to remind everyone.....don't leave your DDA plugged into your bike!!!!

Left mine plugged in, dealer didn't mention it could drain the battery, and I'd only seen a mention that it might be the case on here.

Well left it plugged in for about 5 days and the bike was completely dead, as in nothing, no dashboard, no sounds , just completely dead!

Luckily have the 848 but other wise I'd of looked a complete fool leaving my riding buddies stood waiting for me to show up. Be careful with the DDA, make it the default not to have it attached, it drains the battery and it does so really quite fast! Bike got picked on a trailer by the dealer last night, to probably have a new battery put in. :(

quick question... where do u plug the red dongle into???
dealer didnt explain anything..said it goes under the seat, but looked under both and couldnt see anything to connect to

Remove the cover of the rear seat. Underneath it you will find another small panel which you can open (about 3-4 " square) in it you will find your roadside toolkit.

Also in there will be a cable with a connector which is loosely in there, it might be hiding under the toolkit ?. I believe it can also be used to connect a battery charger to. The Red Dongle connects to that. However you don't use the USB side of it( which you put into your PC) you use the other side of it. Make sure it clicks in.

Remember to switch it on in the menu once you have started the bike. Note that once you turn the bike off, like at a petrol station, you will have to start it again in the menu. Remember to remove the Red dongle from your bike after you have finished riding, it continues to drain power slowly even if you have switched off the bike and removed your key.
