so its only absolute who does this nonsense? with five groups and 15 minutes a session?

I totally agree with you the 5 group nonsense is a total joke,
I remember Absolute did this a number of times last year and I got 2 sessions before lunch, lot's of crashes (which is not their fault) but on shorter sessions once there is a red flag the session is essentially done.
I have zero interest in the 5 group format but the issue is they don't advertise it.
Fingers crossed it stays that way, I will probably limit my track days with absolute as a result.

It's not worth the hassle, my drive there and back around 5 hours

my last track day was on of the joint things where it was tpm and absolute but absolute was in charge. it was so unorganized 4 groups tons of crashes. i left or got thrown out of absolute either way i was leaving (another story) now to have to do track days with them.
however there are some good people at absolute. coaches members etc just the guy that runs it i cant stand.

what do you mean truck in staten island? i live in staten and the toll with a bike for the outer bridge is 40 bucks. i keep my stuff in nj pick it up on the way.

also i am confused with the 5 groups. they run 4 groups

red
dont know why that order but thats what they do. 15 min sessions.
tpm runs 4 groups

red
yellow
white.
if they do cars they drop the yellow and run

finally last time when absolute combined groups and made it a longer session there were so many crashes it was insane. i dont know if it was because people got tired or the differences in the ability of the riders not being able to keep up

Hey Mark ha you doing , re Absolute I got email from them stating due to increase in cost of doing track Days at NJMP they had to joint forces with 3 other organizations , and as a result they have more people attending , in steadof raising the price of the track day , they had to come up with a solution, run 5 groups at 15 min and no brake for lunch, witch comes out to be about the same time for the whole day riding the track if no one is crashing ,

Regarding Staten Island I would pay 100$ to cross the toll to have a track so close to my house , I've herd a rumor that Daytona or Formula 1 was interested in build a race track in Staten and Blumberg toldem to ......., he would rather build a golf course or somthing like that

nascar wanted to come to staten island. that idea was short. there isnt enough roads for that many people at one time and a few other reasons but it was going to be a nascar track an oval.
as far as your letter doesnt suprise me i remember getting a letter telling everybody to book in advance as we offer insurance. what the letter didnt say is that you dont get a full refund and you have to do double the amount of track days to get your own money back
for example if you have a 100 credit you can only use half and i think they lowered it to 30 percent. anyway i hate knowing that some of my money is going to them but i have no choice. the people at absolute are great the owner not so much.
