OK so this is my first Ducati & I love the bike however is it normal for bolts/nuts/parts just to fall off the bike. So far the following has come off:

Bolts from newly installed rear sets
Bolt holding seat in place
Bolt holding new CF rear bigger
Cap from mirror

I assume its down to the vibration obviously

After installing aforementioned items was Loc-tite or similar thread locking compound used?
As for those chincy junk covers for the pivot arm of the mirrors- well they like to fly off.
Buddy of mine lost his on his 12 Base after 2 days of ownership...

Beat me to it....;)

Nothing has fallen off mine.
+1 but she only has 500 miles on the clock:D
Your dealership is responsible for verifying that all components have been installed properly and the torque settings have been verified.
The vibrations of a V2 will affect your fastening devices long term. Checking them occasionally is a good precaution.

Enjoy!

Oh... and blue stuff does the job.

I prefer Wurth over Loctite:)
What's fallen off mine so far is the Clutch Fluid resevior cap, and 1 Side Fairing screw, both items in the first 300 Kms.
Over 5000 Kms now and nothing since;)

Cheers

Not a lot of faith in my dealership. Unfortunately they are the only one on the island.

I had a mirror bolt fall off after the first afternoon of ownership. That's just bad PDI. Don't trust your dealer to do what you paid them several hundred bucks extra to do.

After that I went through every bolt myself and couldn't believe how loose everything was.

Half of the problem is the vibration, but the other half is poorly torqued bolts. After losing a few of mine I removed and loctited nearly every bolt. Still can't manage to keep the ones holding the heat shield on, though....I think I'm on my 6th set of bolts (18k miles). But no critical fasteners have come off, just the cosmetic ones.

4,940 km and nothing has fallen off from my bike. I have an excellent dealer and mechanic, everything was properly fitted when the bike was delivered. I check most of the bolts before longer rides, so far everything is tight.

Never had anything come loose or fall off. approx 15K Kilometres. The items the OP mentioned all seem to be aftermarket parts so likely dealer not torqueing properly.

I lost a bolt out of the pillion foot pegs assembly. Went to remove them and found only 3 holding in. An area to watch if you are carrying pillions.

D, have you tried using lock washers on the heat shield? Like you, I had lost three sets (blue and red loc-tite was used) of heat shield bolts until employing the lock washers.

Hope all is well,

You can get thread lock at Leroy Merlin if you need some.

The guys in Las Palmas are now very good with the Panigales with mine and another base on the island. Having pulled mine apart to fit the full termi etc nothing has fallen off since day one.

Its only a quick ferry journey and stay overnight and I'll show you some of the best roads on this island?
