Hi All.

It seems my 1199-2012 has too high RMP. It's around 1500 RPM. When I release the clutch handle it moves fast.

the idle is electronically controlled, only the dealer can adjust. mine is around 1500 rpm also.

When I release my clutch it goes fast too...

What's wrong?

Yes, I understand. But it seems they are a little high. I feel it should be 1100-1200 rmp... Can I change it with TuneBoy or with similar applications w/o dealer?

No chance 1500 - 1600 is normal, it can't be adjusted without huge hop up options because it falls within the first 20 percent of the FI map and most tuners can't go in at that stage, besides when the guys tune for Hp it's seldom at idle or small throttle opening, you also do not want the thing cutting out on a hot day if idling to low and going from N to first gear, a problem seen on many of the newer KTM's ...and for witch they say they will develop a cure for AIDS before they can fix this annoying problem.

So let it rev, and open the fuuuurken gas brother, or trade it and get big boy 250 with a carb and idle up screw

The Idle can be adjusted. There is an idle screw between the throttle bodies , and two air bleed screws on each used to sync the throttle bodies. Unless you know what you are doing it is best to let the dealer adjust it so they can balance/sync the throttle bodies also. Mine idles around 1100 RPM with no issues

Are you sure about this? The throttle bodies from what I understand are basically controlled by stepper motors ? And an adjustment of say even two degrees will create all kinds of issues, playing in this area needs a air meter sensor calibration tool and all kinds of other parameters need consideration I'm told?
I hope you are correct I'm reporting what I have been told myself not a fuel injection expert but if what you say is fact then Ducati are world leaders in this can bus race with other makes unable to simply adjust the software unless it's a propriety map flashed at the dealer?

PA here is another one for ArseHammer. Since he is Russian ArseHammer may bring a friend. The Russians are tough. :D

Ha Ha, now I got where mistake is. When I said 'it' I meant 1199 goes fast. Sorry and yes, I am from Russia.

Can you share a picture where it's located?

Btw, may it be important. I completed full Termi exhaust and Evo Racing Map. These both were done by dealer before I bought Panigale.

I think there is a sub menu on the dash which gives you a more accurate rpm, I think it's there purely to assist with setting idle rpm.

Owner manual page 26
Exhaust Emission Control System is controlled by an
Electronic Control Unit (ECU), and no adjustments
should be made except idle speed adjustments with
the throttle stop screw. The Exhaust Emission
Control System is separate from the crankcase
emission control system.

Absolutely nothing.

Doh! sorry guys. was thinking about my 1098 race bike. Yea, the Panigale is only software adjustable on the idle speed and idle air control. Please forgive and disregard my pointless ramblings.
