Just got back from a great night out with the my wife and son to celebrate 35 years of continuous military service in the Army, Royal Australian Infantry Corps.

A few too many bad parachute landings and various other injuries make the bike a bit uncomfortable sometimes but I would not trade any of it for a million dollars.

Its been a great ride and I am now aiming to make 40 years before I have to hang up the old paratroop boots.

All the best to my military friends on this great forum.

Congrats Brad.. Its hard to make it to 20 years as a paratroppers let alone 35.. Keep grinding all the best..

That's awesome. AUS, British, and Canada's military folks are best I served with in deployments...Frenchy is ok too. Lol

35 years? You must be a General!

I got few more until retirement.

You must be one tough SOB to be able to keep passing the physical to maintain jump status for 35 years. Hats off.

Sorry just saw this. My last just was in late 2003. It was a combat equipment jump into the ocean by day. Static Line. Later that year a spinal cord injury stopped my jumping and fast roping days.

I have done about 350 FF and about 115 Static line since doing BPC (Basic Parachute course) in Feb 1983.

Thank you for your service. I'm amazed and thankful for the number of veterans on this forum.

I wouldn't mind a thread where we all introduce ourselves with a brief service history. It's a small world. Turns out NOLA and I have spent some time in the same areas. It's a small world and I'm sure there are others.

OOHRAH MY BROTHER IN ARMS!!!!

Way to go showing true dedication to your Country & branch of Service too :)
