should have lived in tx fl or any of the other tax friendly states. i really dont know how anybody lives in CA but it was his choice.

yes i know silicon valley. i wasnt putting the ca people down just boggles my mind how some people stay. phil mcklson got chastised for wanting to leave cause his taxes are over 60% while tiger woods first move was to fl and you heard nothing.

I saw that other day. Kyle is 10 mins away from my house. In fact, I just bought something from them 2 days ago.

IMO yes he is in wrong and will get punish for it. People are giving him hard time on social media. Ok. he deserved that.

BUT I think its funny not that there are MILLIONS of illegals who don't pay taxes and draining the system. I can only guess how much taxes are not paid by them? Hundreds and hundreds of millions. :Dlol

Jokes aside I bought a full Akrapovic system for my 1098S off him a few years back and he came up with a cracking deal (at a time when Sterling was strong against the Dollar). Shame to see him in this situation as he seemed the go-to guy for all things Ohlins in the US. Begs the phrase, "if you can't do the time, don't do the crime". I hope he manages to just pay off his dues and learn his lesson and that seeing the error of his ways might mitigate a custodial sentence. Then again, they could throw the book at him.

The problem also is multi national companies pay 0 tax, working rich people pay a fortune in tax but millionaires/billionaires don't. Even our prime minister in australia has offshore bank accounts.

that is almost loosing battle since as we all know Ultra Rich people control or have influence in the governments. Its a human nature.

There are also hundreds of businesses that illegal hire illegal immigrants to make a profit and not pay taxes, healthcare, unemployment taxes.... You get my drift.

This was Federal income tax evasion charges, not state. Would have happened to him in any of the 50 states.
 
Yes it would have thus my quote on dont cheat the govt. Then I get into living in CA ny nj CT. If u keep more of your funds youbdont have to cheat.

Case in point I live in FL now so I'm keeping a lot more of my funds at least 10% more because no city or state taxes. I don't have Peter and Paul robbing me I just have Peter

People may disagree with me but it's only my opinion. I understand that everyone should pay their taxes if the taxes are due. I agree. Avoidance of taxes is legal (i.e.-move to Florida). Evasion of taxes is not. However, I think it is flat out wrong to put someone in jail for not paying taxes. It's easy to point the finger at someone and say..."you go to jail!" But, one aspect of the American Revolution was taxation without representation. Now, our tax code is considered one of the most draconian in the world. Murder, rape, pedophile, arson, assault with a deadly weapon, etc., YOU go to jail. For not paying your taxes, I would never put someone in jail. I would bankrupt his ass and take all his toys (i.e-civil penalties) but it is just wrong to lock someone up for not paying taxes. It's like debtor prison so we've come full circle since the American Revolution. We preach it but we don't walk it.

Too Big To Jail. Banksters robbed the entire nation and continue doing so, paying no real tax as function of how they are stealing, using the fed's funds rate to reap windfalls on top of trillions in qe/zirp, etc.

taxes on small biz & individuals = giant scam with all kinds of excuses that brainwashed debt-slaves parrot....
