Oil change warning with EOBD light

I have had the EOBD (engine) light come on and the only warning that displays is the oil change warning. Is the EOBD light suppose to come on in conjunction with the oil change warning or do I have other problems as well?

I keep my oil change indicator on at all times with NO other warnings ever.

I toggled down and sure enough, there is an "engine" warning as well as oil change warning. The manual says this corresponds to ECU issue. I assume the dealer (3hours drive) is the only hope? The bike does run BTW.

the only way to remove (1199 at least) the oil change light is to have the dealer do it (unless rexxer or tune boy i dont have those). i dont go to the dealer for an oil change so mine is on constantly. However the engine light does not come on just because of the oil change light.

You can remove the oil light yourself with jpdiag and cable, can also diagnose CEL.
