I just did an oil change on my SF v4. I ran it, let it sit for a few hours, checked the oil and it was perfect. I just came back from 5 days on the road and the level is at the very top or above the glass. Would this be considered over full. I let the bike sit an easy 4 hours like the book said (min 2 hrs). Should I just leave it?

If your sight glass is full after sitting upright for a couple of hours, its overfilled.

I would drain the excess out.

Are you looking at the level when the bike is on a stand? I had to have someone hold the bike upright while I checked the oil level as when it was on the stand it was over the top of the glass, but when someone was holding it/both wheels touching the ground the level was fine.

Haha figures.. Yes I always check when straight up on my bike lift. Besides my M109, this bike seems to be the biggest PITA to get the oil correct on the first try
