Oldest person to own a Ducati 1199???

i sometimes feel like 77, though in the youngest person thread i stated to feel like 18 sometimes. maybe a split personality with a split self body recognition.

(when you're on the waiting list you don't own it yet, right?)
 
When I picked up mine there was a guy in his 70's picking up his rear seat and docs for his 1199
 
58 and fit like a MF!!!! Thats me on the right with a friend thats 5 years younger!
Out for a ride through yellowstone on our harley's. My Base ABS is on order.

I am 62 and have been riding sport bikes since they came out. Just traded in 2006 999 for 1199.
 
To own a Ducati or an 1199? I know a guy who is 63....his track "beater" is a 1098R. Has a whole stable full of Ducs :D .
 
There were three chaps in the UK that were in the late 70s that picked up their bikes at once. It was in MCN on week.

Yes, the guy I'm talking about was one of them as the dealer presented him with a copy of the pic that was in MCN. It was taken at Ducati Glasgow.
 
40 but only started riding motorcycles a year ago. In fact, until last year I had never even sat on a motorcycle, let alone ridden one.

Just picked up my Tricolore and can't believe I let it go this long.

Wow... This is more impressive and somewhat scary than the 70+ year old buying 1199's.

I couldn't imagine jumping on an 1199 with less than a year of experience. Be safe.

Thanks, I guess as an older novice rider I ride more conservatively than a younger one. I've had my Tricolore for 4 days and have done 250km, but so far have only ridden it in Wet mode and haven't yet exceeded 110 km/h.
