Installed the Akra slip ons today on my Anniversario that I took home yesterday. Don't think I've ever seen a video of completely open exhaust, so after taking the stock mufflers off I decided to start her up for a few seconds :D
I must say, she sounds BRUTAL! Almost like a cammed V8. I was NOT expecting that sound, it was amazing. Almost want to keep it like that lol. Here's the vids:

Akra slip ons with exhaust valve servo removed:

Been debating on whether or not I wanted to get the akro slips on or leave it stock on my 1299 S... I think she might be getting some new slip ons in the near future lol. Sounds really nice.

Hey Wally !!

This was a great find brother!

I must admit that each time they switched to an exhaust I liked it better than the one before, and upon reaching the end I was so friggin confused about which one of them I liked best!!!

Even my Termi's actually sounded deep as hell which was nice. :D

You should create a Poll off that video using all those Brands to see which one comes out as a crowd fave here mate?
What say you?

Ps. Just tried attaching a short video of mine running in the driveway but its in wrong format and don't know how to make one in a different format on my Mac- but think Ive found answer to that w an App.

Sounds like an EVIL Top Fuel car... You'd go deaf in 5 minutes if you rode it like that, but still, it makes me smile to hear it...

I still like the Termi best. Deep and throaty... hmmm.

So im curious of a few things?
- Why a slip on only vs a full system
- Did you need to run an UPMAP key?
- What the purpose of eliminating the flapper?

Im very back and forth on slip on vs full system and akra vs termi. im having a hard time making a good chose on which. im not brand loyal like some people on here. youtube videos all sound the same to me because none of the people used a good mic with high db levels to get the true sound of each.

- I have the slip ons because they came with the bike being an Anniversario. I may get the titanium headers next year to make it a full system.
- I ran the bike for a week and 600 miles without the up-map, and had the dealer install it during the first service. No noticeable difference, but I haven't been hard on it either since I'm breaking it in.
-I eliminated the flapper control box because it is not needed, and might as well remove dead weight right?

As far as YouTube vids sounding the same, wearing headphones helps a ton! Also most aftermarket systems are going to sound similar anyways (with varying levels of loudness). There's only so many ways to design a straight through muffler.
