Paddock stand compatability

Hi guys,

Can some one clear this up,ive seen a paddock stand to fit an 1198 for a bargain,but been told by the shop that it WONT fit as the Panigale tyre is too big to fit,even though the pins are the same size. Is this correct?!

I only have the reversible one armed pit bull Rear stand for my 1198 and it fits fine on my Panigale.
 
False, I use a 1098 stand on my Panny which was sold to me by Ducati.

Dealer is just trying to get you to buy a new stand.
 
I am using the Pitbull stand from my previous 1098 with the other pin that came with it and fits perfect. I'm thinking (hoping) the tard who you are talking to in the dealership just doesn't know.

Yes, I've got both front and rear 1098 stands which work fine.

On the rear stand just make its got the 40mm pin as the 1098/1198 had two different pin sizes during production, 40mm and 42mm.

The rear works fine, I tried that yesterday but I am having a hard time getting the front to work! The front discs are wide and the stand barely passes them, I will try again now that you have confirmed that the front 1098 can be used on the Panigale.
 
Can someone post a picture of the Duc front paddock stand lifting the bike? I'm wondering whether I have to remove my front axle sliders.

Nope! It fits! 1198 rear stand will fit 1199 with no tire issues!

mali...just simply expand the metal arms by pulling them apart with brute strenght just to expand it a few milimeters to fit the wider discs...
 
I bought Ducati front and rear stands - rear is great but the lift on the front is so minimal that the tyre won't clear the guard for removal ! Madness ! Gutted !
I am currently cutting and stretching it.
