Hi All,

I have a 2015 1299 Panigale and just realised my horn doesn’t work. I have checked the connections to the horn under the triple clamp and they seem secure. Not sure what else to check and was wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem with their Panigale.

Any advice would be appreciated

cheers
Chris

Put a multimeter on the wires and see if you are getting power to it when you press the switch. Would have to be something simple.

It may be just a bug or a small stone caught in-between the plates of the horn unit preventing it from making a sound. As thomasmryan said above, give a it a tap and it might dislodge anything that shouldnt be there. Had the same problem myself on my last bike and a good tap sorted it out.

If it was that simple you would still hear a audiable ‘ click’ coming form the horn when you press the button? and headlamps and display would dim slightly..
the multi meter to see if it receives voltage and current is the only way, then trace it back, by confirming if the + or the ground is missing, if it’s the + then check fuse and connections the horn will have a high inrush current so I suspect it will have dedicated fuse?
If it’s the - that’s gone it’s even easier to fix

please let us know when you got it sorted so we all can learn from it

thx

If the voltage measurements check okay, check the resistance across the horn terminals with the wiring disconnected. I believe you should measure close to 0 Ohms. High resistance indicates that the internal horn contact may be corroded. Try turning the adjustment screw on top of the horn. That alone may solve the problem.
