Panigale 1299S rear wheel step-axle stuck

Hi!

I'm stuck on some problem with rear axle in 2015 Panigale 1299S. I'm replacing the brake rotor, and rear axle, after freeing it from wheel and sprocket, should just slide out, right?

Well, mine didn't. After some persuasion it came out finally (ok, it's 2015, it could be little stuck there), but I'm concerned, especially about disc side bearing. The spindle came out with inner race, and all of the bearing balls just flew out from the hub. It's just like one of the steering head bearings.

Anyway, after cleaning everything I tried to push the axle back in but it's so hard to even hammer it in. So before I start a heat gun and beat a crap out of it, can someone pleeease confirm, that I'm not missing anything, or doing wrong? I'm always trying to ask wiser people.

Thanks in advance <3

Thanks for the screenshots <3

I've already read this exact section of manual beforehand, but still, didn't help a lot. It doesn't show how bearing looks, or how it should come apart. Also, it doesn't answer why it's such a nightmare to put in or out the axle. Strange. I don't want to order (quite expensive) a whole hub, just to see that's it just construed this way, but on the other hand, I won't let customer out, before I'm 100% sure it's alright. Safety issue for me.

good luck man, sorry i couldnt help more. I have not yet pulled mine apart...
