There was 6 of the Panigale being ridden....Be good to see some more shots of the others.

Be interesting to see their times....

their best time was in the 1.37 bracket, Andrew Pitt earlier in the week on a bog stock bmw1000rr was doing 1.38 (standard exhaust and tyres)

word is they also broke an engine

Reckon the 1199 would have been pretty stock, apart from the exhaust.

..... talking of which, the steel headers look real tatty showing through the body work

yep, and this is a home track for pitty too.....definately an advantage there :)

interesting that the bike in the pic has a set of old 1098 forged aluminum marchesinni wheels mounted.

From an engineering standpoint the three spoke wheel is inferior to a 10 or 12 spoke design in rigidity.
I wonder if the teams didn't like the 3 spoke wheels?

i wonder if they've had to use spacers like the techies have suggested. I'll be at phillip island next weekend for the races. According to ducati effernberts' website they'll be there racing too. I wonder if wsbk has let them join the grid as a wildcard

Fingers crossed - that would be very cool :)
