If anyone is interested in a Panigale Base w/o ABS. I know that Redline in Virginia has one where the buyer fell through. So if anyone close by wants to get one quick - give Jon a call at Redline. These are the same guys that do the ECU mods for the 1098/Streetfighter.

I have no affiliation with them whatsoever outside of being a happy tric customer. Good guys to work with.

And for the record, that is not me with an alias member name either!

That's probably mine, they're seeing if they can squeeze in another sale before I get home. As long as they have one when I get there . . .

i don't think so, they mentioned this one was not assigned... But - you never know until you know! You want me to stop by and double check?

Thank you for offering Phil. I just emailed JF, and he said it was mine that made it to the floor. Which is annoying, because I asked them to keep it crated til I got back, ugh. I told him if they could sell it, if he could assure they would receive another before I'm back, which is about 1 month from now.

bummer. make sure it is in showroom condition, when you pick it up. i bet they won't sell it anyway, as the duc sportbike market seems to be quite saturated around here... and they don't offer swingarm extensions...

Ha, yes, I see a lot of extended swingarms where I'm at too. And yeah, I'll make sure if that's the one they give me that's it's in just out of the crate condition. No scratches on the tail section from people dragging their shoes over it, etc.

Edit: JF just emailed me again and said mine wasn't on the floor. I guess I mis-read his first email . . ?

maybe he meant if you want to buy one - they have one on the floor. happy last month of waiting! got mine back from first service yesterday, love it more and more!

None on the showroom of any dealer should be unaccounted for. The only way one makes it to the dealer floor is if somone somehow backs out of a deal. Ducati is making an effort to deliver bikes that are all pre-ordered first before delivering any open stock. . I believe they aren't allowing any float on the bikes either - which means the dealer pays immediately once the bike is delivered (rather than their normal showroom float).

Anyhow, I tip my hat off to Ducati for at least /trying/ to make sure pre-sold bikes are delivered everywhere before dealers have them on showroom.. . The ones that are popping up on showroom floors are ones where someone bought a bike but backed out due to lack of insurance or funding as I think they are still working through a backlog (though most are now coming up filled).

Contact Tony @ Commonwealth Motorcycles in Louisville KY, they have a base in stock. Best bike I have ever ridden.
