Panigale drag racing

Hello:
My name is Mark I own a 14 899 ducati. I took it the local drag strip this weekend. I had a hard time launching the bike with out wheeling. Anyone on here drag race? I am also looking for a Front end lowing strap for my bike. Most of the stuff I see only is for gsxrs.

Wrong tool for the job

I took mine to the strip a few times to practice launches for racing
If i wanted to drag race, id get a gixxer

Brock’s sells a front end strap kit. I’ve seen it used on some 1299’s so it should fit your bike. Drag racing is fun, try the strap kit, maybe some suspension adjustments and keep at it.

I think you need an extended swing arm and lowered suspension.

I've run my 1199 at our local strip, my best 60 foot has been 1.9 (pitiful) 10.4 to 10.5 @ 145 to 146 mph everytime through the lights. I shift into 5th over the line and stay in it till my speedo flat lines. I leave with my foot on the brake pedal to keep the front end down. I weigh 185lbs. suited up. There is a lot more in it, but I don't feel like killing my clutch.

Launch control helps. I know BT has launch control for the 1199/1299 with their flash, not sure about the 899. Try launching by slipping the clutch a bit more and see if that helps to keep the wheel down in first.
