Can't work out how to post bigger pics....bit of a Luddite

Here my ride, same bike within 4 weeks of each other:)
So far stock exhaust with exhaust valve fully removed, soon it will also have a nice pipe on it.

Did you paint the tank or strip it, and if you stripped it did u clear it after. Looks good from the pics either way.

I did strip the tank first, the red came of very easy but the black primer under it was some super sticky stuff.
The bare tank was not very pretty, see the pictures. Lots of sanding, buffing, sanding, buffing, lot's of time consuming stuff....., the last pic is after clearcoat with carbon tank guard and carbon gas cap and the logo under the clear.
Then afterwards had a Satin clear coat applied to it. Same deal with the wheels but we did use Satin Powdercoat on the wheels.

For some reason I thought the 1199 has a plastic fuel tank.

NOT liking the pipes tho.

I like the paint scheme, makes me think of an old fighter jet. I agree with you about the pipes. At least they didn't put a dry clutch on it.
