From what I've read you aren't suppose to use them on the street? Any experience with that?

Can't see why not . My Desmosedici had magnesium wheels they were fine .

I have gold mags on my bike, 90% street use and mine are fine... BUT I only have around 2K miles on my bike around 1100 on the mag wheels.

What you cannot see in the photo is my roadside repair with some tape to hold the front brake reservoir on after a bolt came loose. I am sure I had tightened it up with some medium locktite, but must have missed it.
