They were too loud for track use in standard trim here in Europe. Dumped them for

Not going to pay Ducati an upcharge for open cans and a Y pipe. My guy is fabbing a Y pipe and I just want to make sure that opening these cans up is doable before I drop this Woolich system on it.

The EVO system is a little more intricate than simply being a gutted can. A straight system won't make the power of the EVO. I've tested both side by side. If squeezing every little bit of power out of your bike isn't your thing and you're looking to save a few bucks it's not a bad way to go. But it still won't be comparable to the full system.
I am on a phone at the moment but I may have erroneously labeled my intention. I am just looking to remove that baffle/restrictor/cat that is blocking and choking down the can. Essentially creating the race can...leaving the bulk of the guts in tact but opening the flow of the can. Not sure if that makes sense.

that's what i do in my mod.
it helps but does not come close to a race developed can.
there is an intermediate solution to replicate the inner routing of the race cans, which gets pretty close to the real deal.
