Hello,
I own the beautiful Panigale V2 2020 which has started to leak little bit of oil (See attached)
I noticed a screw which has loosened up near the exhaust header (See attached).
Do you guys suspect the oil might be leaking out of there?
I flashed some light through the gaps of plastic engine cover and couldn’t really see any leaks from there..
I see all the leaks confined to the left side of the motorcycle (Same side where the screw is loose)

Could anybody pls confirm if indeed there can be a slightest of chance that oil might be leaking from this loose screw?

Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

that screw is a nut that is one of three to retail the exhaust manifold and if you have oil from there that would be a serious issue.

How serious of an issue are we looking at here assuming it is leaking from that nut?

I will try removing the engine cover and take a deeper look,
Thanks for the info! ✌️

The engine would be fubar if that much oil was coming from your exhaust .. more likely something like the valve cover gasket…

I put my hands up high behind the engine cover, found traces of oil..
Looks like a valve cover leak.

So you might wanna tighten that exhaust header bolt up while getting the valve cover leak sorted. Valve cover leaks are reasonably common and cheap to fix.

Buy the gasket, new bolts, take it apart, swap gasket, torque bolts, put back together

Glue the gasket to the head, then grease the upper part of the gasket and reassemble the valve cover. When you take it apart, check if the bolts were properly torqued and look at the old gasket and check the mating surface for flaws.

in india? no idea..here in southern Texas...$1300 usd
Sheesh!
I have dropped the motorcycle at the dealer yesterday,
He will give me a quotation by Monday..
Hopefully it’s reasonable since he told the parts will be less than 50$

On average a normal service with all oil fluids and labour is around 140$..
Labour being around 65$..

Soo hoping it is not that expensive as Texas over here..

Should I ask the dealer to use some loctite blue to ensure it won’t loosen up in the future?
