Had a pretty eventful track day 2 days ago. First session low sided the left, second session low sided the right lol. Second took a lot more damage, clutch cover wore through so the bike leaked oil. Take away was that i got a new PB at Losail 2'22" so I'm kinda happy with that.

So I've been planning to replace my clutch cover with the 2 piece Panigale alternative for a while and i guess now's the time to do it.

I'm hoping I can get some insight on what parts I need as my search has left me somewhat confused.

Ducati Omaha lists an updated clutch cover for '21 panigale p/n 24311554AH for $650 24311554AH - CLUTCH COVER

Then there's the dry clutch conversion covers that the aftermarket sells and is apparently branded as ducati performance for about half the price Magnesium Clutch Side Case Kit for Clear Wet Clutch Cover for the Ducati Streetfighter V4 / S

Does anyone know if they're the same part? The price difference is quite substantial. There's also a difference in sound dampers but i think i can figure those out.

I think they are different parts, as I had to order the dry clutch version when I did the dry clutch conversion on my Streetfighter when I had it.

as an aside….get these whatever route you go

Lots of places carry them

Overall it looks like the bike faired well in the slides, didn’t even brake the winglets off lol

Was thinking of getting the GB covers. They are one of the few that fit both sides on the SF.

I actually have the cnc covers but the clutch side doesn't fit even though it was labeled as an SF part. I have the generator side installed and that did well on the left but it will need replacing.

Yup. Both were 3rd gear corners at about 80-90 mph. Smooth low sides but the bike did slide quite a bit.

Pegs, engine covers, wings and bar ends took the brunt of the slides.

what about you, any dings or engine covers that needs replacing? Lol

Also as a learning track rider, kinda curious what went wrong causing the low sides….trail braking too hard? Bad tip in point off line?

Haha [emoji23] no dings on me thankfully, just some extremely brushed leathers.

Nothing went wrong particularly… was a combination of things. Both crashes were at an apex, neutral point so just got off the brakes. Was progressively pushing harder and the front tire let go. Ultimately it was a combination of lean angle and speed.

The SF definitely requires the clutch cover for the conversion. The question is, does the panigale need a different clutch cover when converting to dry clutch. That would confirm if there's a difference between the two.

It doesn't help that the clutch covers have a different part no. for every model year.

The panigale doesn’t need a replacement clutch side engine casing when fitting the dry clutch unless its a 2018 model. The only difference between the 2018 and 2019 onwards is that the latter has a small notch cut out of the inside to accommodate the dry clutch itself.

Thanks, that’s exactly what I needed to know.

Do i need remove clutch or how to get all aluminium dust out?
