Thanks for everything; it's finally all put back together!

Turns out the heated grip, actually had 2 small screws (each under a very tiny flap) holding it in place. Once the screws are removed, the grip came off without too much effort. However, the new OEM handlebar tube had to be drilled with the appropriate holes so the grip could be put in place. If anyone wants to know, the heated grips are Ducati OEM part #: 96680573A.
Now I get a little break, before my next work session --- changing the oil & oil filter :)

It is slightly recessed. The head is the diameter of the bar. If you look closely at your photos, it looks like the paint line (called a witness mark) doesn’t look like it lines up indicating the screw has rotated. You can completely remove this screw while the bar is in the holder. The threaded portion is maybe 15mm long.

This is the one you would need to tighten.

Hi,
Just wondering if this hex bolt can be sourced outside of ducati, or is always included when the bar and clipon is purchased.

Asking because I bought an oem handlebar but doesnt include this bolt. The clipon is fine, just damaged the bar and the bolt went missing.

It's a pretty unique bolt. I don't know if you can get one from anywhere other than Ducati. The parts that make up the clip-on are all individual parts. I'm not aware of a single part number for the entire assembly. You could always buy a used assembly from eBay.
