Pikes Peak vs Street fighter V4S

I've never had a problem seeing or experiencing the three distinct markets of Racer, Streetfighter, Sport Tourer. As Mehaffydr says above, the PP is the best all around bike he's ever ridden, and I'd agree, but that just tells me he doesn't have the sportbike bone. Pure sportbike riders would rather be on a 1098 than a new SF or anything else, because they can't see past their rose colored glasses, and that good. I can't tell you the number of accountant-types who had a MS who looked down on me because I had a SF, but I personally like the riding fast/quickly out on the road, in nature. The track is awesome, but I'd rather be out there somewhere and riding quickly. I was on a RSV4 Factory last summer. You had to be going 80 in a 35 to feel ANYthing. The race bikes are so capable now there is no reason to have one unless you are a track rider. Or if you think they look hot or just want one, those are valid reasons too. But, if you are over 40 and don't want to drive an SUV (PP) the SF is exactly the ticket. The combination of excessive performance and lose-your-license tickets, and 40-60 somethings don't like to tuck down on the tank all afternoon, makes the SF the modern elite choice. As panibadboy says above of the PP: it's quite big. Well, ya it is. Big. Try the SF.

This is why I have both the SFV4S and MSPP. I ride the SFV4S for exhilarating fun and Track days. I do 10-12 track days a year. I ride the MSPP for longer touring and 2 up riding. The OP said he wanted to tour and ride with passenger so to ne this is not the Streetfighter. The NS is big but does not feel that way when riding aggressive.

My DVT PP is the best all round bike Ive owned, it's not a sports bike obviously but its pretty sporting nonetheless and will cruise all day in comfort nearly as quickly as a Pani on the road. People need to ride one before knocking them. Switching between different bikes gives the same good feelings i.e. I love this bike for it's lightness, speed, comfort or whatever quality that particular bike has. Its not a case of one bike is better than another but right now if you said you could have one one street bike for the next 5 years Id get a PP and for track a Pani.

I admit I got wrapped up in the review hype with the 2020 SF. Everyone was gushing and commenting on how comfortable it was as that was the first year for the SF V4. The riders triangle is 95% that of the Panigale. Wider bar on the SF, higher pegs on the Pani. Not bashing the SF, it’s just in hindsight it didn’t match what I really wanted.

I've had more or less all three. I currently have a 1260 Multistrada Pikes Peak and a Monster 1200R (the SFV4's predecessor). Previously had a Panigale 959. I concur that the Multi is the best all-rounder. However, the 1260PP is big and heavy although surprisingly less so than BMW's carbon ladened M1000XR and especially smaller and lighter than the Multistrada V4. The main feature of the MTS is its wind protection and hauling capacity. It's an awesome sportbike if you can get past the size and weight.

Monster 1200r is a joke of motorbike, has nothing to do with SFV4.
Predecessor is Panigale V4
I was comparing classes not engines. The Monster was a Super Naked. The Panigale is a Superbike, not a naked bike.
FYI, the M1200R was most powerful Ducati naked ever until the SFv4 became its successor.
I don't consider 160 HP a joke although it's a lot less than 200 HP but age has a lot to do with it.
A few short decades ago, a world class superbike had much less power than today's street bikes.
By the time you're wearing diapers again, your gran-kids will tell you how slow your SFV4 was.

SFV4 is a completely different model lineup, completely different chassis and engine. the fact that the amount of fairings they put on it sort of matches monster, doesnt make monster its predecessor. SFV4 predecessor is Panigale V4 as I said above.

I think too many of you suffer from small penis syndrome and need to relax a little. Stop taking drugs.

Also, look up the word, predecessor, in the dictionary. It's not as precise as you guys make it sound, but in general:

The predecessors of the Monster 1200R is all of the Monsters that came before it.
The predecessor of the Pani V4 are the Superbikes that came before it.
The predecessor of the SFV4 is the SF1098.

Large jumps in capacity and/or design changes are allowed within the definition.

Come on now, I know some of you are smiling.

Compromise is a beautiful thing. I accept that.
