Pirelli Supercorsa SP V2 tire sale

They have been great as trackday tires for me but I'm an intermediate rider. I believe Pirelli offers SC1/SC2 for those interested in more track focused tires.

Which would be better, SC1 or SC2 for track? And they can still occasionally be run on the street correct?

If anyone needs tires, I just saw this available from Riders Discount and just ordered myself a set.

$329 shipped inside the US for a Set of 120/200 tires. There's also a $40 mail in rebate available from buying these as well bringing these down to $289

I dropped by a local parts place and told him about this deal so he gave me a set on the spot for $400 CDN (or about $300 USD). Thanks.

On the webpage, there's a link for the rebate instructions. But looks like this deal is dead now, the webpage is showing a price hike to $359 - $40 rebate = $310

Riders Discounts have always been good forum sponsors on other forums, someone could always try calling TJ and see if he'll still honor the old price.

back in stock but at the $359 price.

txt me.. literally just txt me.. At NCBike when we ran I was running SC1 front SC2 rear.. don't waste your money on them yet.. SP's for your pace are more than enough.. did you fix the chain tension?

Always blaming the LT. Ha will do. Sticking with SPs. Chain is fixed. More SPs on the way since I am going back to NC bike and possibly Road ATL. Need suspension work done still...

its always LT's fault ;) Did you find a shop yet?

Not really, stick with the SP2s for occasional street. The SC1/2s are slicks, not for highway service. SC1 vs SC2 depends on track conditions. The best I can tell you from the Pirelli brochure is the cooler and smoother the track, the better for SC1 on the front tire. The cooler but more abrasive would be better for SC2 Rears. You should talk to Pirelli bike tire vendors to get more specific advice.

I can only speak for myself here, but...

I switched to a DOT Supercorsa SC2 rear and SC1 front on my 1199 and noticed an immediate increase in edge grip/confidence on the street (canyon riding in LA). I'll never go back to the SP tire.

There are also Superbike slicks (Not DOT) available in SC1 and SC2 (and soon SC3) compounds. The rear is 200/60 vs 200/55 for the DOT version.

And for those of us on the XX98 bikes - no more 190. Gonna throw on a 200/55 and see what happens. Tried a 200/60 and it completely degraded turn-in.

Bump they still have some just bought a set as well. Give Mike a call @866-931-6644 ext 804.
