Pitbull - Hauler setup

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

Get Pit Bull stuff period! Love the stands and TRS. No more worrying about bikes moving and tipping over with tie downs. Unless you like driving with the addition stress of you bike moving or falling over...

I too have a TRS setup in my truck (along with my toy hauler posted above). I have two ramps as you can see, the bed extender I used as my walk ramp and the black one I use for the bikes. I attach the black ramp to the bed extender ramp to keep them out of the way. This also gives me enough room to strap down fuel jugs to the bed extender too if needed. I also have a hitch mount carrier for bikes, with a 14" extension on it to get it out past the bed. So I can easy carry more items.

I don't have a picture now of it, but I do have kayak mounts for the roof, and have had my kayaks on top, motorcycles in the bed, and bicycles on the back. And with the extended cab, makes for a great weekend traveler.

I have the TRS system set up in my taco... the bed length is just about 6ft. with the tailgate down everything fits just right, although the plates are actually in front of the rear wheel.

Love the Pitbull TRS! I made something so that I could just bolt it all up using the existing bed bolts. I was still about an inch short, so I bought DG tailgate supports to keep the tailgate propped open a bit, and it still allows me to lock the tailgate.
(Don't mind the Hayabusa)

What black support board is that or made of?

My trailer set up with Pitbull and Niceraxx. I agree that there is no better way to load and unload bikes than with the pitbull TRS. Just recently, I installed a few NiceRaxx mounts for the front stands, along with the PB suit hanger and the mounts for stands, the TRS, and extra pins. Only reason I chose niceraxx over pitbull for the front stands is clearance; the niceraxx allows for the pitbull front stands to be mounted upside down so that the "fork" of the stand is close to the top (see pictures).

Also, great people to deal with and excellent customer service - same goes for NiceRaxx.

Next year I plan on purchasing a Ram Promaster van, and hope to have the exact same setup.

Folks,

I've been all over the world and lived in countries in Asia, Middle East and of course many different states in USA. Throughout, I've met many great people, vendors, sales, and companies and of course...not so good.

I wasnt staying in US for long and I didnt have any tools since all my tools are in overseas at the moment. I asked few vendors near me, but I decided call Pitbull George if they could do the install on my Benz Sprinter. He told me "yeah Sure come by!"

George and Kelly took few hours of their time and started to work on the Sprinter. They took no short cuts, measured everything and even put a bike in the van to make sure it fit. Even the owner, Chris came by and made sure things were right.

And they did this for FREE! that's right folks...for FREE. This was their first time doing the Sprinter so it wasn't like a walk in the park.

George took me around the shop and gave me a tour. My first impression was...I had no idea it was this big! They were in house and everyone was very professional and polite.

I met many experts, good vendors and helpful people but it always came with a cost which is fair enough. Some cost $ but were just complete ..... It is hard to come by those who are just awesome and super good people. I just like to share this with you all.

Pitbull located in AL, Chris (owner), George, and Kelly.

Photos.

See the photos I just posted of my trailer. Is it possible to mount anything on the side frame of your sprinter? Or will you need to put up side panels first? Planning on getting a Ram Promaster next year and wanted to mount the same PB trailer products for that.

Yes I've seen other Sprinter with side rails. I plan to do it for purpose I see on your photos.

Attached to a Kendon Big Bike Trailer that can fit (3) dirtbikes, but has ample room for two and leaves mounting/dismounting a breeze. A bit exposed, but I use a large cover over both bikes once at my destination. The mounts seem solid and the process of securing them on the trailer as well as taking them off is very confidence inspiring and seriously less than 30 secs per bike.

I still secured both bikes very lightly to their handlebars on my maiden voyage as it was a pretty long trip from CO to CA. I trust the trailer restraints enough now and it's all that I use.

The trailer is usually connected to a Sprinter Westfalia motorhome allowing me to live at tracks that have campgrounds onsite or nearby. Laguna Seca was wonderful except for the fact that both of my bikes are too loud. I had to borrow a friend's Daytona 675R that day.
