Surely MCN can't be the only group test we can refer to (and before you post I have seen all the others referenced on this forum!)

Somebody?? How can the most exclusive bike for a decade get launched and no f*****r is testing it!

Ummm...did you actually see the article? Looks like the KTM article was a hypermortard test

Fastbikes have done a comparative test in this months issue, haven't read it yet but will. For those in the US Motorcyclist will also have one in this months issue.

Fastbikes only put it against KTM and RSV4, Ducati top but only just. The stats from test figures look strange though

Try this link for the bulk of the article (16MB)

Again mixed feelings, its like the bike is so different that the test riders can't get their head around it. Makes me wonder about setup.

It's slower than the Aprilia, and in some ways the KTM also!

I'm really surprised it's not quicker (0-60) and in the quarter mile given the power/weight ratio. Hard to launch perhaps?

Thanks for the link, that was an interesting read.

Can't really argue with the negative points:

1) Chassis quirks - well, I guess it does feel different.

2) Very thirsty - yup, I realised that after not many miles, without even looking at the mpg!!

3) Loud - yup, it is.

4) Rattly - yup, definitely some engine noises that even made me wonder about its overall health initially.

Look closely at the photo of the Pans shock mount position in the Fast Bikes article.

That mount is in the "track only" position, or flat, as it says in the handbook.

If they've been riding it like that on the road it'll feel rock solid compared to the "Progressive" setting.

It'll make it twitchy and as hard as hell unless on a super smooth bit of tarmac.

Check the manual, page 184, and look closely at the pics.

I spoke with Austin Racing today and I'm sure they're going to post up about this sometime later.

As I understand it, AR are trying to get info from Ducati direct.

Actually you should check your bike when you pick it up according to my dealer the bikes are being delivered flat £ready for track" as mine was, I have just had it change to progressive but not yet had a chance to compare

I did notice the ticking in the motor on my test ride. Guessing a combination of the giant valves and the cam chain. I actually kinda like the mechanical roar of the motor. I'm told it's normal.

Progressive is supposed to be for two-up riding.

My bike came in Flat mode, but even thought I don't find it overly hard, please let us know how you find Progressive.
