Just found out that Pro-Bolt have released kits for the Pani. Loads of kits available in different colours & metals. Below is the link to all the Pani stuff.

What are the advantages of Ti? I'm guessing lighter/stronger perhaps anti-corrosive.

You got almost all of the advantages together.
In addition it gives you bragging rights ;) and you can get it in fancy colors (although that is also possible with aluminum, which is not as strong as Ti)

I want the quick-fasteners for the fairing. Does anyone have a clue when they will become available?

+1.

Pro-Bolt Gold Titanium on the 1098 S Tricolore - Completed entire bike with their range.

Pro-Bolt Natural Titanium on the 1199 S Tricolore - Just starting with the rear wheel.

Proti

Not sure what difference in cost is for same items but I am sticking with something that works fo rme best, has unreal customer service, and even more impressive packaging which shows the amount of work they put into their branding. We all know Titanium is a super metal and when you are truly holding these in your hand its hard to imagine that they are actually stronger than other metals! They just came out with more pieces for the 1199 and another thing which is super is that they show a real time indication of their inventory too on the site!

Just fyi differance in cost for titanium is because although titanium is one of the more common metals it's an absolute bitch to extract it from the ore. It has to go through so many labour intensive processes compared to other common metals we use, hence the cost. I was really suprised when I saw it for the first time. Pity because as said it is such a cool material you can feel the high quality when handling it.

Titanium is harder to work with has well - I machined my own axle for my bicycle's bottom bracket. These titanium proces are all over the place. Example:

eBay $30-$58 for the 4 front caliper bolts.

Pro-Bolt $79

Let's Green Motospecialties (Taiwan) $88,

I'm getting a warning when I try to go to these links, saying the site might possibly attack my PC. Anyone else?

You are correct.

Hit the 3rd link and go to the Original post by Gunny. You can access the link from there.

Its the way he pasted them, the entire description is in the url instead of just "http://www.letsgreen.tw/main.php?fid=1395" so it tries to search, and goes to a wierd site.

When dealing with any form of Titanium bolts make sure that you put anti-seize on each and every bolt. In additional where applicable add the relevant locktite. The anti-seize application is missing from this video: Ducati Monster S4R, install PROTI titanium bolts - YouTube

Pro-Bolt is certainly the most expensive Titanium. I just prefer their designs and quality.

To each their own.
