Problems with the left controls

Hello guys. I am doing race fairings swap and I am facing some problems.
After removing light and the other stuffs my left controlls (flash, turn signals etc) are working normally for 1 minute and after that right signal, left, right, up and enter are not working. Only left signal and down button. Any ideas?

Connector may be loose. There are two really small screws on the left hand controls. When you remove them and separate the halves, you can check and re-seat the connector.

If I unplug the battery for 1 minute the problem is fixed but after I try to change the riding it stucks again

I found the solution. After removing the stock fairings I disconnected a modul attached with a velcro to the left side of the front fairing. I dont know what is this for but the wires for the GPS module and the left controls goes through it. If I connect the wires directly they fail to work, if I connect them through this module its fine.

P.S. Please tell me what you put on the gas tank before install the tank cover ? I dont want to open a new theme and I dont want to scratch my tank with the cover. Thank you.

Cover the corners and any contact points with painters tape.

I had to install one of those modules on my 2013 1199 to get the LH controls to work. I bought a spare on eBay just in case.
