So I pulled the left fairing to pull the "light" fuse for a trackday on Sunday b/c I didn't want the hassle of cleaning off baked on goo from taping up the lens.

But the headlight fuse also runs the dash lights so pulling the fuse is not an option.

I'm looking through the access holes (with removable roundish covers) that sit above each headlight inside the upper fairing and there seems to be a plug above each headlight.

Can I just pull the plugs or would I run the risk of some type of electrical overload? I think it's OK, but I hate to F the thing up. . .

It's a base 1199 wo ABS if that matters.

Also, the owners doesn't give the right position for the light fuse - it's #5, not #4.

TIA for answering my stupid q.

I use painters tape instead of duct tape and the adhesive doesn't bake on to the glass/plastic. It's easier and cleaner to remove.
