Question about carbon build up on valve on 1299

So I took my rear header off because I am modifying my y pipe to get rid of the flapper valve. As I have a peek inside the engine, the right side exhaust valve has a bit more carbon build up than the left. Seems like the left doesn't have any. Does this mean one of the valves is leaking. It's pretty much just black dust, not really built up, but I'm just curious.

Bike has 4700 kms on it.

More likely to be a bit of leakage from the valve spindle/guide seal, letting oil down the spindle and burning off.

Thanks Glen, now Would this be a normal thing? Not too worried now as bike has plenty of warranty left. Just gonna ride the wheels off of it this summer and keep an eye on it I guess.

Dunno mate. Havent heard of anything personally with the new motor, but I'm sure if it has been seen before, someone will pipe up.

I'm not sure I've seen a pic where the buildup was symmetrical.
