Hello all, this is my first forum ever so I’m just exploring this place but I am buying a 1199 S panigale tomorrow (or Atleast I intend to) what are some mechanical things I should be looking. Questions I should be asking? It’s a one owner with 14k miles I know DESMO is suppose to be done at 15k miles. I know these bikes can have a rougher time in lower gear with no map or tunes so what should I be looking for when test riding it to make sure it’s good. Thanks for any advice you guys have.

i would remove side fairings and look for oil leaks at the oil cooler on RIGHT side, check for valve cover leaks as well..the desmo will run you about $2500 so factor that into your offer as well...if youve got valve cover leaks, that will be addressed at desmo too, so not too many worries there..but def look at the engine, if covered in oil and dirt...would be a red flag for me too.

is the bike stock?

Bike is stock.

that is a good price buddy. of course i wouldnt be able to help myself and would prolly try to take down a little bit..how do the tires look?
Well I got the bike for 10,500 it ran at 165 degrees for the 3 hour ride home and man it is so mean my first liter bike a 1199 Panigale S Tricolore lol! And tires are completely brand new not even any wear on the tire at all to be honest

That bike looks and sounds great man. Congratulations.

If you need anything part wise, let me know. I have some spare stuff for that and the 1299 model. Quite a bit of stuff is interchangeable. And there’s a lot of knowledge on these forms as well. Hope you’ll hang around.

Congrats man! Wow 10,500 for a tri is a good deal - I’m in Canada and just bought an 1199 abs - I share your excitement! They’re beautiful bikes. Let’s see some pics!

Congrats on the Pani!
I don't wanna rain on your parade but I don't think it's a tricolore. I think you have the 1199 base model.
-not ohlin forks or steering dampener
-not ohlin TTX shock
-not Marchesini rims
-not Tricolore fairing
-not Termignoni exhaust

It still looks good and the price is also worth it.
