Quick shifter causing throttle issues??

Had something happen to me today and wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this. I’ve got a 2022 V4 base model. I’ve experienced the missed shifts from 5th to 6th with the quick shifter. Today it happened again but after it happened the bike would randomly act like it was hitting the rev limiter at 12,000 rpm. 3rd gear or 4th gear I’d give it gas and it would accelerate and then around 12,000 it would act like it hit a brick wall.
What’s even more weird is the quick shifter now isn’t working for up shifts, only down shifts. I pulled over and turned the quick shifter off and the bike was fine. Turned the quick shifter back on and now in any gear trying to give it a good handful of throttle results in the power cutting out. Turned the quick shifter back off and everything is fine.
So my question is: anyone else experience this? It is so strange to me that a broken quick shifter would cause this kind of throttle misbehavior.
I’m taking it to the dealer in two weeks so we’ll see what they say.

If you don't have the tools to properly diagnose it, i.e. something you can plug in and read the CANbus, take it to the dealer. Anyone here can only shotgun a vague guess.

Hey Leblev,
I did a track day last week and my quick shifter was giving me the same issues you have between 1st and 2nd gear.

Talking to ducatista at the track, BTW, 2019 panigale V4S, the stock quick shifter is a piece of junk.

So it's going and HM Plant GP or Plus will be replacing it. 😊

the stock quick shifter is a piece of junk.

that statement, in that context, is a piece of .........
at first, the quickshifter is a software part inside your ecu.
it uses some inputs, any of them may fail,
beside that, mechanical reasons may make it not working.
the shift sensor is only one of these inputs.
a broken wire, direct at the housing or a bad connector, would be not uncommon.
that's for ALL shift sensors.
because the stock shifter is such simpel, a 12 year old hobby electrician is able to find that.
if this is confirmed, do whatever you want, buy a new, another, or fix it.
if not, further investigation would be needed.

Hello,

I have not had problems with the quick change, but what happened to me this weekend is that my STF V4S did not reach 12,000 revolutions and did not go over 250km/h, in principle it should reach 15,000 revolutions and 300 km/h.

How did you manage to find out the reason for this failure?

Greetings.

Try using the settings menu to turn off your quick shifter and then see if your bike will rev to 15,000 revolutions. If it does, then you’ll know there is something wrong with the shifter

Ok, I'll check it, thanks

This has been my torment for the last few months... the same symptoms. have you been able to resolve?
