Hi Gecko.
Interesting..are you gonna order it? Maybe we can split shipping cost?

Okay... no problem, good idea :)
I'm going to place this on my CF track babe. Let me know whether you need anything else from them, switches are really cheap.

Im going to try this,

Edit;
To fit this you have to take apart the whole triple clamp,also its very reststrictive. For racing bike its ok,but i dont think so for trackday/street bikes..
Sutki's method is better if there is no other damage to the clamp. If someone want it before it gets into the bin contact me.

The stock lower clamp is a hollow cast piece. I can easily see how that happened. Jarel's suggestion is a good one. Im using the CNC triple and I have an Attack unit as well. All billet construction so now the frame will crack instead LOL (kidding, I hope) The Rizer piece looks nice.Gecko always finds the good stuff. WOW that CB guard really took the brunt. Great pieces.

When you install the R&G protectors, you should adjust your steering stops on your triples so that it doesn't touch until the R&G protectors have been slightly compressed. So when you waggle the bars back and forth it should be knocking against the R&G protectors and not the steering stops. The idea is to spread the impact load so that the R&G protectors take the hit first and only in a really hard hit where the R&G protectors are compressed does it then hit the steering stops on the lower triple. If it hits hard enough to do that, then there's nothing that can be done to prevent that kind of damage. The bike is designed so that the triple clamps will break before the frame does, since it's a lot less expensive to replace the triples. So since your triple clamp broke from the impact on the steering stops, I'd say either you didn't have them adjusted so that the R&G protectors hit first, or if you did then the impact was hard enough they it was more than the R&G protectors could absorb.

I have them installed on my bike, I think they're a good product, but they won't protect all damage, they're just a "helper" so that in a minor impact there's less chance of breaking the triples.

So Jarel, what you are saying is that the original steering stops are designed to break before the frame does preventing more expensive damage. Sounds like the Ducati engineers and bike designers put some thought into the design,

pity people did not trust the engineers with their running in recommendations, might have saved some people from engine damage.
