Hey guys, I am looking for a radar (Valentine 1) mount for my V4. I want to mount it in the center on top of the triple clamp. I need the whole package - the mount and the attachment system for the detector (quick release).

Does anyone have a solution?

I've been running TPX on another bike, but I much prefer V1 as I use it in my car.

Thanks mate. I bought the same Adaptive mount D-01-16. Any good location for switchable 12V on this bike? Does it have a designated connector such as BMW and Aprilia?

i just used a regular v1 hardwire kit straight to the battery so the v1 turns on and off when i connect the power cable (not with the engine). since i use the same v1 for my car, i take it back and forth.

i have a lot of stuff connected to the v1. maybe i put together photos later but i connect the v1 to my iphone using the bt adapter and i have the v1driver app running on the iphone so i can play the alerts to the sena bt speakers in my helmet. i also have a marc parnes led visual alert connected to the v1 (using the v1 audio adapter) so i get red lights flashing since it's sometimes hard to see the v1 front face in the daytime.

none of the connectors are proprietary and all the modules and wires are neatly tucked away out of sight. took me awhile to pull it together.

I prefer radar screamer on bikes. Not trusting Bluetooth.

i know what you mean. i can't hear the screamers when going doing ... speed on a windy highway so i abandoned that a long time ago. maybe it was the escort detector at the time but the v1 has a pretty good audio adapter so it might work....my hearing is not that great to begin with.

so anyway, i didn't care for audio-only which is why i have the visual alert and you absolutely can't miss that especially at night. even if you are not looking directly at the instrument panel during the daytime, it will catch your eye with a smoked visor.

as for bt, i'm always listening to music and when the v1 beeps, the music volume is lowered so i instantly know something is happening but the v1 beeps do come in nice and clear. so i've been using this setup for over a year and i'm at the point where i fully trust it to work and work correctly such as not missing or sounding off late (because seconds count). since i'm running music constantly i don't have to worry about bt battery shutting down without you knowing it and thinking your radar detector is still on. sena says "goodbye" and the music is gone which means "slow down."

before every ride, i pull out my radar gun and give it one blast to test the setup everything is connected. as you know, the way we ride, this is serious business lol.

Will the Techmount fork tube kit like the ones in the pics work with V4 i.e. No issues for the installation around the top of the fork tube? I had an Adaptiv mount on my 1299 but didn't want to block the TFT display. Thanks in advance.
