I don't usually ride bikes in the wet anymore, it's a miserable experience but because I've been trying to get miles on this 1199 I've been caught in four really heavy rain storms miles from home including bring it back from the dealer the other day after its first service.
Just bang it in wet mode and ride it no problem at all it's as stable as hell.
Then you can have that lovely 1199 first ride in the wet experience where the 200 tyre sprays mud and ..... everywhere around the back off the bike and all over you!
Remember the good old days when the tail units were wider than the tyre?

I have ridden in torrential rain for a couple of hours actually I was quite impressed switch a few times from Rain and sport mode. Obviously you have to be a little bit more careful while in sport

Rain sucks ! Been crappy here all week !
Maybe i was wrong then. It continiously pissing down. Anyone got any ideas as to why the sidestand is developed in such a way to make it impossible to get down. My current record is 5 attempts before success!!!!!!!!!!! Even a small lip or peg?

the trick is not to try it with the heel from the side but with the tip from behind the peg. works just fine for me.
got some nice rain here in south carolina too now, will hold on for the week.

luckily i finished the last few miles of the break in so the bike can stay in the shop for service...
