G'day from Australia. Looking at buying the Rapidbike race ecu and hoping that those who have fitted them have pictures of where they fitted them to their bikes. I ride 2014 1199r. Thanks in advance.

I just installed mine this past weekend, I removed the exhaust servo motor and used that empty space to mount the rapid bike module. You can mount it there or there is an open spot on the left side of the bike under the fairing--you just have to remove the tabs. E-mail Yaman, he replies super quick and was available via telephone during installation. You will get detailed installation instructions with the unit.

I currently have the evo module installed where the servo motor used to be, but i saw the following picture online, and was planning on trying to move mine to the same place over winter :)

That's a great spot for it.

Mine is mounted on the fan housing like the directions indicated. I am going to move my when I replace the hoses.

We fitted a smaller battery on our bike, and them mounted the RapidBike module and the smaller battery in the same space as the standard battery previously took occupied...

Hello.

Where did you route the main cable harness to be able to reach the battery?

I would like to install the module at the battery tray or the old servo motor location, but since I routed the harness the easiest way possible (the groove under the bike between the lower radiator and the fan housing), the cable will not reach the battery.

I will post some photos soon.

Thanks.

I routed mine from the left side of the bike to the right. Mounting the box on the inner fairing sail and had plenty of wire to run to the battery. Ran the main harness through between the radiator and the front head. Make sure to use a piece of cardboard between the cable and fins or you will smash the heck out of the radiator.

I bought some exhaust foil with adhesive so I will put some on the areas of the main box that is exposed to radiant heat from the exhaust, which is very minimal (top/rear side).

I thought about doing that but I didn't think the connectors would fit. Maybe I'll reroute it someday.

Someone actually mounted it on the exhaust bracket and had no problems.
Thank you.
