Re Sets

G’day, with regards to re sets is there a key formula to setting them up? Is it worth it over the original foot pegs? I once test rode a 1198 before I bought my 1199 and really loved the feet position of the 1198, I can’t remember if it had re sets but it felt like my feet were more forward and lower than on the 1199. Thoughts?

The stock pegs are actually pretty good, they are not adjustable for personal preference, they get a bit slippery after a lot of use and the shift lever gets sloppy. Good aftermarket rearsets are an improvement but they are not cheap.

I thought the footpeg on the 1199 was pretty terrible. I had a 2014 and the OEM one was super slippery. It was pretty common to replace they with an aftermarket or Ducati branded one which was knurled much more aggressively.

I'm on the V2, not the 1199, but I think the foot rest set up is very similar, if not identical.

For me, my size, and ergo preference, I found the OEM rear sets just fine. Same with the clip ons.
