Finally completely removed the rear brake lever, shortened the pushrod throw as far as it could go, and also readjusted the lever stop. Still a LITTLE high, but much more comfortable for aggressive riding when I need to cover the brake. The only additional item required was a butterfly bandage for when I cut my hand on the backside of the heel guard!

I know this is an old thread, but with a new season, I am readdressing this. If there isn't another rear brake pedal plunger bolt that is available, I'm thinking of just ordering a 2nd one, and taking it to a machine shop to shorten the threaded end 1/8" and then extend the threads 1/8" farther up the shaft. I don't want to shorten the plunger side that is rounded as it is also plated against rust and corrosion. Any input from anyone who has done this or something similar?

So I removed the rear brake pedal assembly recently and took of just shy of 1/8" material from the threaded side of the plunger. Ran a die up the threaded portion additional 1/8" and reassembled. Works so much better. Position feels better and a little more play assures less/no drag. For me this was a must. Very happy with change.
