I've been swapping out all the black plastic with carbon fiber. When I went to remove the rear seat/fairing support part I was surprised at how heavy that part actually is. It must be over molded metal because it is a pretty stout piece. Obviously it needs to support a passenger, but if you never plan to carry a passenger then it should be at the top of the list of parts to swap. Pretty big weight savings in comparison to other parts. The cover as well, it also feels like there's metal in the forward position. If you're looking to lose some significant weight with carbon, start there. You all probably knew this...just an FYI for those who didn't. [emoji2]

Yeah same here couldn't believe how heavy the plastic OEM was. I didn't weigh them but my guess more then half the weight is gone now with the carbon one.

Yeah, it's significant.

Pretty happy with the quality of the carbon piece too. Very minor filing for the cover latch and that was it. Highly recommended.

It's too bad they don't supply a carbon hatch cover I ended up making one.

Nice. It's so insignificant I don't mind. But looks wise, it would have been cool.

what brand and where did you get that?

Carbon Fiber World. Good luck getting one. Every package I receive from them it utterly destroyed in shipping. Their packaging skills need work.
