While cleaning and lubing my chain, I noticed that there were random grinding noises from the rear wheel. Upon looking into it, I noticed my rear brake pad had little meat left and was wearing down unevenly. It also had affected the rear rotor as well. I have ordered the rear pads and rotors to fix the issue but looking into it, it looks like for the rear rotor replacement, I would need to take off the spindle. Tried looking up videos for 1199s and 1299s to see how it was done but nothing much is showing up. The rear wheel and front wheel will be removed anyways as it needs tire replacement. What would be the best way to support the bike without having the rear stand as the spindle has to come out?

Putting jackstands under the rearsets usually works. Since you're in there it might be a good idea to check the condition of the bearings and regrease if needed.

I did the exposed rafters/tow strap to the subframe a few times with my old 1199.
On the V4 with the OEM exhaust you can support it from under the exhaust with a bit of wood and a floor jack. If you have the Akra exhaust on a V4, you can remove the cans and use a 4x4 block of wood and a floor jack to support it by the lower support for the shock mount. When I last did the latter I had the front on a stand to give it more stability.

I pick the bike up with the rearset hangers and not the pegs. This works on most anything but I don't have an 1199.
No rafters unfortunately. I guess I gotta go with the ladder and ratchets. A piece of wood with a jack underneath my akras.
Might want to elaborate a little bit more if you don't mind.
